What’s on Screening: June
June brings a blockbuster-packed programme to Cineworld at The Beacon, headlined by some of the most anticipated releases of the year. The month opens with new action, horror and animation titles before building to the arrival of Toy Story 5 at the midpoint and closing with the DC Universe debut of Supergirl. Event cinema continues throughout, with live theatre and dance broadcasts complementing the main programme. Several titles from late May carry over, meaning the schedule is full from the first day of the month.
Continuing from May
The Mandalorian and Grogu
The Star Wars adventure that launched in late May continues with strong scheduling throughout the first half of June. The fan-favourite duo return for their first feature-length outing, continuing their journey across the galaxy in a film that bridges the television series and the wider Star Wars cinematic universe.
Michael
Antoine Fuqua’s biographical drama about Michael Jackson continues into June. Jaafar Jackson stars as the King of Pop, with the film tracing his journey from the Jackson Five through to his emergence as the biggest entertainer in the world. Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Miles Teller and Kendrick Sampson also star. Still scheduling multiple daily showings.
The Devil Wears Prada 2
The long-awaited sequel with Meryl Streep returning as Miranda Priestly, facing off against Emily Blunt as former assistant Emily Charlton. Continues with daily screenings through the first weeks of June.
New Releases
Masters of the Universe — from 4 June
The big-screen revival of the iconic franchise brings He-Man to a new generation. A hero with superhuman strength and speed in a world where science and magic collide, the film is positioned as one of the early summer action spectacles and is expected to carry strong daily scheduling from its opening weekend.
The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act — from 4 June
The animated phenomenon that took the internet by storm makes its cinema debut. The Amazing Digital Circus has built an enormous fanbase through its online releases and this feature-length finale brings the story of Pomni and the trapped performers of the Digital Circus to the big screen for the first time. Ideal for families and older fans of the series alike.
Savage House — from 5 June
A new horror release from Paramount arriving in the first weekend of June. Full details to be confirmed on the Cineworld website.
Scary Movie — from 5 June
The horror comedy franchise returns with a new instalment from Paramount. Arriving the same weekend as Savage House, the two titles together make for a strong opening to the month for fans of the genre.
Disclosure Day — from 10 June
Steven Spielberg directs this alien invasion thriller starring Emily Blunt and Colin Firth. One of the most eagerly anticipated releases of the summer, the film arrives mid-June and is expected to dominate the schedule in its opening weeks. Described as a large-scale, tension-driven thriller in the tradition of Spielberg’s science fiction work, it arrives ahead of a competitive July and is likely to carry scheduling well into the following month.
Toy Story 5 — from 19 June
Pixar’s return to the beloved franchise pits Jessie and Buzz against the modern world, as the toys compete for Bonnie’s attention against a tablet device called Lilypad. The fifth instalment arrives nearly a decade after Toy Story 4 and is one of the most anticipated family films in years. Expect heavy daily scheduling from its opening weekend onward, with multiple screenings aimed at families throughout the school holiday build-up.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow — from 26 June
Milly Alcock makes her debut as Kara Zor-El in the DC Universe’s big-screen Supergirl origin story. The film follows Kara on a cosmic revenge quest across alien worlds, blending epic space battles with psychological drama. Arriving at the end of June, it is set to carry strong scheduling into July and is one of the headline releases of the summer for the DC franchise.
Jackass: Best and Last — from 26 June
The Jackass crew return for what is billed as their final outing. The film promises the same anarchic, stunt-driven comedy that has defined the franchise, and arrives the same weekend as Supergirl to round out a strong closing weekend for June.

National Theatre Live: Les Liaisons Dangereuses — from 25 June
The National Theatre’s acclaimed production of the classic story of seduction and betrayal comes to the big screen as part of the NT Live series. Screening from 25 June through the summer, this is essential viewing for theatre fans.
