What’s on Screening: July
July brings the summer holidays into full swing at Cineworld at The Beacon, with a packed programme spanning family animation, blockbuster action and event cinema. Several of June’s biggest releases carry over into the first weeks of the month, while a run of new titles builds towards two of the summer’s headline events: Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey in the middle of the month and the arrival of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on the final weekend. Special seasons and £2 family screenings run throughout the school holidays.
Continuing from June
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow
Milly Alcock continues as Kara Zor-El in the DC Universe’s big-screen Supergirl origin story. After arriving at the end of June, the cosmic revenge adventure across alien worlds carries strong scheduling into July and remains one of the headline releases of the summer for the DC franchise.
Disclosure Day
Steven Spielberg’s alien invasion thriller starring Emily Blunt and Colin Firth continues its run after a mid-June arrival. The large-scale, tension-driven blockbuster remains one of the summer’s biggest draws and holds heavy daily scheduling through the first half of July.
Toy Story 5
Pixar’s return to the beloved franchise stays a family favourite through the school holidays, as Jessie, Buzz and the gang compete for Bonnie’s attention against a tablet device called Lilypad. Expect multiple daily screenings aimed at families throughout July.
Jackass: Best and Last
The Jackass crew’s billed-as-final outing continues from its late-June arrival, delivering the same anarchic, stunt-driven comedy that has defined the franchise.
